This work uses the discrete-element method to investigate bidisperse dense granular flow with large and small grains in a two-dimensional hopper. A half-circular dynamical force arch forms above outlet, robustness of Beverloo's law is verified describe relationship between rate outlet size. The peaks when monodisperse supplemented fraction grains. relates closely local characteristics key area. However, interior packing structures (i.e., an ordered arrangement for disordered flow) dominate flow-pattern transition from mass funnel flow. earlier occurrence increases grain velocity therefore rate. discovery rheology provides plausible basis constructing general constitutive framework
